Stroll through the fairytale streets of one of the country's best preserved medievil towns where salt so-called white gold was mined and the Hanseatic League rose to power and might. Lüneburg has a long and rich history and boasts street after street filled with beatiful traditional northern German architecture.


This tour is ideal for those who want to see to get out of the city for a day and take in not only Lüneburg but the surrounding countryside. Our daytrip will begin by meeting at Hamburg central station, from where we will take a scenic train ride to Lüneburg. We will then spend the day exploring Lüneburg and all it has to offer before returning to Hamburg by train.

The tour will be a walking tour with a moderate activity level. A break at a traditional northern German restaurant is included in the middle of the tour.
